Latif and I again today.... 3 Brilliant Games. Latif and I played our best today. 1st game against Adam Taylor and Red Edwards on Rink 8. We handled it very well. Red struggled with his weight. We won 19-7. 2nd game against Brett Eade and Orm Geiger on Rink 1. A good tight game early at 4-4 after 5 ends and we nipped out to a 13-4 lead before they came back at us and on 2nd last end we were 13-12. A good last end saw us nick a 2 and win 15-12. 3rd game we totally outplayed Ray Trewern and Fred Barnes on Rink 6 for a 24-3 win and so ended up winning the day but by just 3 shots in the end. There were 3 x 3 game winners. Love This Competition once a month and a good choice playing here instead of Musgrave Hill 2 dayer. Busy tomorrow anyway.
The Last Sunday off of Bowls for 4 weeks so will make the most of it.
Sold 1 set of Bowls today. Possibly selling a Jaguar also. Prospective buyers driving up from Coffs Harbour. Lets hope.. Its a lovely vehicle and if they are serious buyers, They Will Buy it. I am really enjoying the selling of Bowls and Motor Vehicles and other items for friends and bowlers. Everyone is happy with the outcome. Might get into Real estate yet !!! Day off Bowls Today to Work.. Hamilton POWER PAIRS were cancelled anyway as Shocking weather AGAIN.... Next One on Friday 30th August 2013
Bob Brown and I (Filling in for John Mclean)... Played indoor today as Winter Carnival had all outside rinks in the damp. We played Bruce Prentice and Bobby Lee. We had a good 30-13 win although only got 2nd money as Tage won by 22 shots. Both of us played well again. 3 Days off now before Enduro Monday. Ache a bit after 4 days straight and giving Hamilton a Miss tomorrow to recover. Shame as I love their tornaments but have work to do also.
Decided that no trip was needed to the Auctions today so managed to get a game in the All Day PAIRS with Ray Tonkin thanks to Ricky Mulders setting it up. Should be a good day if weather holds again. Last 2 days been lucky.
****************************************************************************************************************** Rain Stayed away again. Another Good Day. Ray Tonkin and I played Ken and Chris. They played very good bowls and we were average early and we were down 0-5 after 4 ends. We never recovered and were down 7-15 after 12 ends when I half heartedly tried to draw when I should have driven at the Head. Phuk Drawing. I dropped a 5. We got a 4 and 3 on next 2 ends to go into the last end down 14-15. Holding shot 2" from jack when Chris drew 1" and I could not remove it. Lost game 14-16. 2nd game against John Southwick and Ray Baskill. A close game early but won last 8 ends to win 16-8 and 10 Ends and won 3rd Money of the Losers. Still it Paid for a Great day again. Bob Brown and I played under cloudy skies but no rain., 1st game against Cliff Jones and John Butterfield. Brownie played very well and I did pretty well too in our 20-4 win. 2nd game against Tage Pedersen and Warren Mills. Another Excellent game and win 18-8. Unfortunatly no money today as some big scores but we both played very well and other weeks our scores would have won some money.
Lloyd Nash did NOT have a Wrong Bias, Nor did Ralph, Brownie or Red. Jim Heron Did though !! Latif and I today. Great Day for 50th Anniversary Celebrations. 2 games 15 ends PAIRS. 1st game of PAIRS against Jim Cook and Don. Latif and I played extremely well for our 20-9 Win. 2nd game was not so easy against Barry Venner and Ian Crabb. Although a shaky start Barry and Ian put it up to us and were up 5-11 after 9 ends. We came home well and ended up with a 17-13 win. No Money for Us today but another Triumph for Cabarita Bowls Club, Bowling Committee and Management.
No Bowls For Me today although had chance to Skip the Dignam Shield at Ballina but could not be bothered all day of Fours. Over Fours.
