Brilliant Game and we all played Terrific Bowls on the Indoor. 3 Down on the last end after being up 17-14 on 17th end. Our Last Bowl and Tony only chance to save the game was a drive and Jack on Ditch. Yep. Got it 20-20 Draw and was a very worthy result as never deserved to be a loser, One of The Best games played in for ages.
I filled in today for Phil Capon as Tony Edwards wanted a Partner and we had a great game Against Tony McGlachlan (Paradise Point) and John Doorley from Bribie Island

This is the Day that My Internet decided to SHIT Itself and been down Since Wednesday 17th August until Thursday 1st September so all that Information I had during that time is going to have to be remembered which would bot be hard as I always keep game records etc. However…
Anwyay Back On Line again.. I can't remember how many emails I had about Wrong Biases but a few names ring a bell, The Main Culpret was Bobby Brown, Had about 6 I think lol... Latif and I played against Dawson Cowie and Bronnie Cowie and This Time Brommie Skipped and Skipped very well and Dawson Led well too. We won 22-17 in a good tight game and never had it all our own way. Tricky Windy Condition although warmed up and Green Ran well as Morning went on.
Alan Elliott and I had a Great Days Bowls Today and He played some Brilliant Bowls Throughout the day.
1st game against my Old Mate Bobby Hume from Tasmania who is up on holidays for 2 weeks. He was Leading for Denis Jones also from Tasmania (Penguin Club). We started well with a 5 and a 5 and never looked back in our 30-7 win. Bobby should have skipped. Even playing with Borrowed Bowls he still payed some good bowls. 2nd game against Bob Avery and Kevin Fowler we had a tough start but came away with a 22-6 win towards the end. 3rd game against Laurie Swift and Alex Sabar and even at 5-5 after 6 ends and we pulled away again thanks to great Bowls from Alan and a very tricky windy green which we handled better than Laurie and Alex. Won 20-6. Won the Money today. Daily Diary - Pennant Round 7 (Div 1) at Tweed Heads for Southport - Saturday 13th August 20168/12/2016 Our Last Chance to win a game this season as a Bye Next week and then away to Helensvale..

George Horleys partner was crook today so George asked me to bowl with him. Seeing as I was at Helensvale anyway, Why not.? Always have a Great Game with George.
***************************************************************************************************************** 1st game against Ron and Roy on Front Green which ran very well dispite the overnight rain. George was once again excellent in drawing as I struggled to find my length. We won 10-6. 2nd game against Ron Lewis (New Edge Raptor) and Robbie Cresswell. Down 0-4 and we picked up a 6 on 3rd end and never looked back. I Played Much better this game against Strong opposition George and I won 13-10. Windy and Tricky but enjoyable... Bob Brown and I played Indoor against Bob Blair and Mal Guihot today. Was a high scoring fun game which we won 33-27 and Brownie and I both bowled very well dispite dropping a couple of bigger numbers we also picked up heaps. Great Draw on Rink 2 today. ******************************************************************************************************************* PARADISE POINT "OLYMPIC" SPECIAL NEWS FLASH wToday was a Special Presentation to the Paradise Point Syncronised Bowling and Matching Shirt Team for their Magnificent Performance in Entertainment throughout the Bowls World..
It Seems both Bowlers have The Same Coloured Bowls (As Well as Styles of Haircuts, Shirts, Socks and Mental ability) and every time they go to Perform on the Bowls Green, either 1 or the other picks up and Bowls the Incorrect Bowl (Ralphs turn was today). Not only that, Their excellence in continual wrong Biases (Today Red Again) is making Headlines around the World. The presentation today Performed by Cliff Jones were 2 Sets of Sun Glasses (donated by Bob Brown) in the hope that this would curve their desire to match each other in every way. I think the Real Test of Greatness is when it happens when the 2 Bowlers are on different Greens. That will make the Immortal... Keep it up Guys.. You are now a World Wide News Story.. C.C. Grant Osborne (U.K) Another Great 1 Day Tornament with Latif…
1st game against Sandra and Joe Attard (Melbourne). What a Good Game and Joe Killed us early with his conversion and we were down 2-9 after 5 ends. We came back well but holding shots, he changed the heads and we ended up going down 10-14. 2nd game against Bromwyn and Dawson Cowie. A good 24-6 Win although I never played that well. Seemed to lose interest and concentration and lose 1 game and its all over.. 3rd Game against Lyn Henry and Anna Maronic. Never Bowled well again and we were 20-20 going into last end as the 2 Ladies bowled really well in the 2 bowl pairs. We got a 2 and won 22-20. Good fun day in lovely weather…. Next One at Mermaid is 31st August 2016... Latif and I played John Patterson and John Finnehey again today, Got out to a 12-0 lead after 5 ends before they made a spirited comeback. We ended up winning 30-19 although they played some good bowls and I especially went off a bit but slow greens always a problem. Good Game all the same…
Mal and I again and we had all 3 Games on the Indoor today. We made Section 3.
Mal Skipped again today and Very Well Too. 1st game against 2 Guys from Hamilton Power, Wally Schmidt was the skip and they started very well but we played pretty well all day again, especially Mal who skipped with some Great Conversions all day. We won this one 22-14 but led 22-8 before last 2 ends when we got a bit lazy. 2nd game against Larry O'Dea and Alan Howard. Another Great Effort and a Top 17-11 win 3rd game against a Determined Fred Border and Alex Hyde (Burleigh). On Paper looked straight forward win and we got off to a 7-1 lead after 4 ends and then struggled as they attacked the head and were down 11-12 with last end. Had Shot with my last bowl for a 12-12 draw and Alex tried to drive me out and hit his target but collected Jack and went to us for 2 so we won 13-12. A Draw would have got us home in the section anyway so we Won the Section so that was good. Great 2 Days Bowls… PARADISE POINT NEWS HEADLINES Ralph Hunt had a Bias Free 2 days which was amazing. The club is actually thinking of giving him a Dollar for every correct bias he bowls… However... Bad News on the Red Edwards Front, Not Only did Red have a Wrong Bias, He has Caught Ralphs earlier Disease of putting down his opponents bowls. Well Done Guys… Keep it going.. |
