Unfortunately the Rain was so Heavy at Robina that the Team was unable to Travel safely to Paradise Point to play Indoors this morning.!!!!
I Myself, Made it there with no problem and had a Great Roll up Singles with Ralphy for 2 hours while the other Paradise Point players played among themselves.
It was made very clear to me that Paradise Point will teach us a Lesson in Lawn Bowls when we do get to play them in a week or two (Weather Permitting).
However, Next week we play Benowa at Robina and if we lose its all over for us anyway and Paradise Point go to Algester which will be no Guarantee of a Win.
It will all come down to the Robina V Paradise Point Game when it is played….
In My Opinion Premier 7s is a waste of Time and low class event and shown by the lack of early information whether to Cancel ALL games owing to the Crap weather…
People don't have time to hang around all weekend waiting to see if games are on or off. MAKE A DECISION EARLY Like Summer 9's was called off Mid Day Friday. Why not Premier 7's… The Forecast was correct and Green Keepers would have been unable to prepare Rinks in time for Saturdays games in most cases
Another Thing, Why have events in Mid Summer in heat of the day when older Bowlers are keeling over and unable to play from the heat. Whats Wrong with October -December when it is Cooler and nothing on much anyway.
No Wonder Bowls going down the Tube. I will just play my Weekly PAIRS Mondays to Fridays and Stuff all this other Shit ….
Glad when its all Over…
